Approx. 35h/week or 7h/day of activities according to a standard schedule
The volunteer has to pay nothing, there is no fee, and all subsistence costs are covered as the rules of European Solidarity Corps - Volunteering projects (ex-EVS) as the followings:
- accommodation;
- international travel;
- local transport and national, where the case is;
- 150 E/month food money;
- 90 E/month pocket money.
Selection will be based on the eligibility criteria and motivation, we believe that having a strong motivation to learn about sport and event management, may be more relevant than the experience itself!
The aim of the project activities is to join EMS team to help promote the sport activities in our local community and to organise sportive events.

What you can learn?
From the point of view of the internship as a whole, the volunteers were able to acquire basic skills in the organization of sports activities dedicated to amateurs.
More specifically, volunteers. depending on the degree of involvement and the duration of the internship, they acquired skills in the fields below, from the space limit indicated by key phrases:
- Planning - most valid for individual internships, they were able to plan their own activities, weekly meetings with local volunteers, presentations, etc.
- Teamwork and diversity - carrying out tasks, missions, meetings, team-building with local volunteers, even with members of the implementation team, with partners or sponsors, suppliers, it was a mixed, diverse, international team, with ages included between 15 and maybe even 65-70 years;
- Logistics - by doing what is necessary, a good cooperation with teammates from all departments, inventorying existing things and taking over/ordering what is needed or coming from sponsorships, partnerships and dividing them into the necessary points, by category - hydration, prizes, start, etc.
- Management of volunteers - being a period of one year in which they were involved, they had to learn the management of local volunteers from recruitment, to training, team-building, workshops, their involvement in tasks A1-A25, the management of their involvement in physical promotion with schedule, locations and number of flyers and posters as well as online promotion tasks or support in planning, presentations or translations in classes.
- Youth worker - by working with local volunteers, mostly between 15-18 years old, own initiatives, workshops held for them or in classes, kindergartens or the Curcubeul center - for the inclusion of Roma children in sports
- Competition route planning - the ability to put all the elements on the route - from logistics, to human resources - over 100 volunteers and police crews, gendarmes, volunteer tasks and posts as well as their training and partial supervision
- To learn to learn - they discovered which are the methods by which they learn best and how to organize their learning through activities and through the certified online course provided
- E-learning - open-source platform - for the volunteers who managed the content on the 3 project sites
- Working with various age groups and social positions, occupations - mentioned above as well as working with event participants or representatives of companies, educational institutions, public institutions, for example the volunteer responsible for communication, was present even in the approval meeting and systematization of traffic, and learned to make a press release to announce the route and what is happening in the city by organizing the event
- Using non-formal methods - by preparing games from each meeting with local volunteers, even weekly meetings or during training on project tasks.
- Public speaking - during presentations in schools, kindergartens, universities, companies or fundraising meetings with managers;
- Management of social networks - preparation of posts (images and text), response to messages, community maintenance;
- Sports marketing - as part of their activities, the volunteers acquired knowledge of online marketing and created promotional materials (posters, banners), which they later distributed both on their personal pages, sent by email as invitations to the event through national promotion as well as international promotion to other sports clubs to join the running event as well as in facebook groups at local and national level.
- Promotion; - through various online channels and on the streets, by presenting the marathon, group runs and inviting them to run non-competitively, to encourage the sport and practice it
- Communication - the ability to communicate effectively and obtain feedback and incorporate it as appropriate, with participants on messages from the Facebook page, emails, replies to newsletters, press releases, radio and TV shows, with volunteers, with partners, etc.
- IT, with application on text processors, tables, participant databases, volunteers, timing, image processing, video processing;
- Photography, filming by the photo-video teams that helped each other and learned from each other, photo and video clips were shared - artistic, start/finish, timing, in which to see the competition number, etc.
- Creation of promotional clips;
- Improving the English language;
- Learning the Romanian language, basic level, for transnational volunteers; the Italian volunteer learned the Romanian language at a basic, conversational level,
- Cultural diversity, especially in the case of foreign volunteers and through the organization of intercultural events and many other skills.
